Recently, the research team led by Professor Zhang Weian from the School of Materials Science and Engineering of our university has made important progress in the field of senescent tumor treatment. The relevant achievements have been published in *Nature Communications* under the title **Chemical anchoring of immunotherapeutic drugs within senescent tumor cells overcomes senescence-driven immunotherapy resistance.

This study is the first to report the biological phenomenon of overexpression of drug efflux pumps in senescent tumors. To address this issue, a drug delivery strategy based on a chemical anchoring strategy was designed, which effectively solves the problem of drug efflux and achieves efficient regulation of the immune microenvironment of senescent tumors.
