SCHOOL LEADER | INTERNATINAL EXCHANGE AND COOPERATIN | CAMPUS LIFE

Since 1992 the School of Materials Science and Engineering has made great effort in promoting international academic exchanges and cooperation. The School has made many successful cooperation program and regular exchange visits with Akron University of America, I¡¯Institute National des Science Appliq¡¯ees de Lyon, Mainz University of Germany, Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics, D.I. Mendeleev Moscow Institsute of Chemical Engineering. Some famous companies/corporations, such as Du Pont Inc., ICI, etc., have made suggestion to colaborate with the School. Besides, professors of the School had been invited successively by the universities, research institutes and famous companies: INSA, Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics, Akron University of America, University of Cambridge, No.6 University of Paris, Macromolecule Research Institute of France, Tokyo University, Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry of Moscow to give lectures and make academic exchanges. Some of the prestigious professors were invited to give reports on the international symposiums in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Japan, etc., such as International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry(IUPAC).

In March 2002, the School successfully held the 12 th International Biomaterials Crossed-Discipline Conference.
