Current Research Areas
Our research is in the area of material chemistry and physics of inorganic crystals, metal, organic-inorganic hybrid materials, and complex. We hope to elucidate the fundamental processing-structure-property relationships of novel catalysts and devices on the atomic and molecular scale. Our ultimate goal is efficient solar energy conversion and storage that convert sunlight into electric power or storable solar fuels such as H2
1.Design and synthesis of metallic and semiconducting crystals. 
2.Solar Cells. We focus on photovoltaic technologies that are simultaneously efficient and inexpensive. Our current solar cell project consists of thin film based and nano-structure solar devices and aims at developing new semiconductor absorber and cell structure towards next generation photovoltaic technology. 
3.Artificial Photosynthesis. Photocatalytic / photoelectrochemical /electrocatalytic water splitting for H2 production and reduction of CO2 to methanol and other C1 products.
